Configuration option from supplied source. Confirm ordering code.
Matching adapters for specified secure interfaces, with selectable sleeve, fiber-count and mounting configurations for the intended patch panel.
In shared patching environments, visually similar connectors can make an unintended connection or change harder to prevent. Physical interface selection is one way to establish a more deliberate patching arrangement. Match the connection at the interface. Fibernet's secure patch-cord and adapter family uses corresponding mating designs. Selectable mechanical profiles and housing colors help teams identify the intended connection within an organized fiber installation.
The system combines secure fiber patch cords with compatible secure adapters. Both must be specified for the required connection path. Mechanical profile selection matters alongside optical specifications. The patch cord and adapter should be chosen together rather than as independent catalog items. Choose Secure LC or Secure SC and the specified housing code. Use the corresponding interface and compatible mechanical profile. Verify fiber type, polish and the required link arrangement. Mechanical mating and color identification are physical connectivity features. They do not provide data encryption, authentication or electronic access control.
The source ordering tables identify 12 housing color/key codes. Specify the same compatible profile on the mating connector and adapter; the colors below are visual references, not calibrated product samples. Profile codes listed in the source: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L and M. Compatible connector and adapter profiles must be selected together.
The values below are taken from the supplied product datasheet. Insertion loss is stated as a typical value, not a maximum guarantee. * Typical insertion loss applies to the specified SM UPC, SM APC and MM PC configurations in the source datasheet.
These are relevant infrastructure use cases for a matched physical fiber interface. Suitability depends on the complete network design and operating procedures. Fiber distribution frames Organize designated patching interfaces in fiber distribution panels and communications racks. Multi-service environments Differentiate planned fiber connection groups through coded connector-and-adapter selections. Operational patch management Support a more structured physical patching procedure where accidental reconnection is a concern.
For accurate selection, define the connector interface and mating profile together with the fiber, polish and mechanical arrangement. Patch-cord configuration The ordering table lists the following selection fields: Adapter configuration The adapter ordering table lists these selection fields: The ordering codes in the February 2018 datasheet should be reconfirmed for current availability and compatible configurations before purchase.
For secure patching components, the mechanical interface, connector polish, mating profile and installation method must be considered together. The source datasheet lists optical performance values and a mechanical requirement referencing GR-326-CORE Issue 4. Product suitability should be checked against the intended installation. 0.1 dB typical insertion loss for the specified configurations; 55 dB / 65 dB single-mode return loss values for UPC / APC. Fibernet operates according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and AS9100D quality management standards.
