Terminate and join fibers
Organize fiber splices at the distribution point, with a maximum documented splice capacity of 16 cores.
The Fibernet Outdoor FTTx Distribution Box – 16C_R provides a structured termination point for feeder-to-drop fiber connections, integrating splicing, optional splitter arrangements and cable routing inside an IP65-rated enclosure.

Splice-only outdoor distribution box.

Connector-access configuration with adapter plate; SC adapters not confirmed as included.
At the FTTx network edge, feeder and drop cables must terminate in an enclosure that accommodates branching, cable retention and future access.
The 16C_R places those functions in a single enclosed housing: defined entry and exit ports, internal fiber management and space for a suitable splitter configuration where required.
The design supports the operational steps required at an FTTx feeder-to-drop handoff, without mixing splice, splitter and connector capacity into one number.
Organize fiber splices at the distribution point, with a maximum documented splice capacity of 16 cores.
Configure the enclosure for up to two 1×8 splitter units or one 1×16 splitter, as specified for the model.
Dedicated cable clamping and described input/output openings support orderly entry and exit routing.
The difference is the supplied panel arrangement – not an automatically higher splice count.
For applications requiring an enclosure dedicated to fiber splicing and internal distribution without the adapter-plate option described for the other variant.
FOTB-16C-R
Includes an adapter plate. The source lists an optional panel for up to 12 SC adapters; confirm whether adapters themselves are included in the ordered build.
FOTB-16C-R2
*Splitter support and adapter-panel suitability do not establish that splitter modules or pre-populated SC adapters are included with either SKU.
The enclosure uses an enclosed construction, documented wall mounting, feeder/drop cable clamping and dedicated cable passages.
IP65 per the supplied datasheet; suitable use should be evaluated against site conditions.
Splice-only version or adapter-plate version, selected at the ordering stage.
Up to two 1×8 units or one 1×16 unit as listed; verify actual supply and installation clearance.
The documented temperature range is -40°C to +70°C.
All values below are taken from the supplied Rev. 1 datasheet (March 2018). Material identification is held for confirmation and documented in the implementation notes.
