Change Polarity in the Field
The MTP® PRO tool provides a one-step, color-coded polarity change without opening the connector housing.
High-density MTP® links can require polarity or pinning changes during installation, migration or maintenance. With a conventional connector, these changes may require a different assembly or more invasive connector handling.
The MTP® PRO system is designed to simplify that field change. The dedicated tool reverses keying configuration and supports pin reconfiguration without removing the connector housing or handling loose pins, reducing rework during moves, adds and changes.
12-Fiber multimode optical patch cord with twelve OM3 50µm fibers. Terminated with MTP® Elite Low Loss connectors with field-reversible polarity and gender-change capability. Configured one side Male (pinned) and one side Female (unpinned), factory UPC polished, 1 meter in length. Available in 12 identification colors according to project requirements.
12-Fiber multimode optical patch cord with twelve OM3 50µm fibers. Terminated with MTP connectors featuring field-reversible polarity and gender-change capability. Configured with Male (pinned) connectors on both ends, factory UPC polished, 1 meter in length. Polarity can be changed on site by a technician.
The MTP® PRO tool provides a one-step, color-coded polarity change without opening the connector housing.
Field-changeable guide pins provide flexibility when connector pinning must change after deployment.
The reconfiguration method is designed to avoid loose-pin handling while preserving the connector housing.
MTP® PRO Elite connectors, IL/RL testing and interferometer ferrule-geometry verification support predictable link performance.
