Fiber Optic Wall Mount Cabinet

Fiber Optic Wall Mount Cabinet

Keep fiber termination accessible. Keep floor space free.

The installation challenge

Not every fiber termination point needs a floor-standing rack.

Where a compact wall location is preferred, connections still need a defined place for adapter termination and the selected splice arrangement.

Common installation constraint

Limited space, multiple connection requirements

Wall space, adapter type, connector count and splice access all influence the enclosure selection. Choosing on enclosure dimensions alone can leave the termination layout unresolved.

  • Match physical footprint to available wall space
  • Plan required adapter and fiber types
  • Specify pigtail and splice-tray requirements
Fibernet product approach

One cabinet family, multiple defined configurations

The RWM family combines two locking doors with a removable adapter panel and an ordering structure covering size, adapter selection, pigtail count and splice-tray options.

  • Type A, B and C cabinet dimensions
  • ST, FC, SC and LC adapter-panel options
  • Selectable fiber and connector polish choices
Functional details

Built around access, termination and configuration.

Four physical features define how the cabinet fits into a fiber distribution project.

01

Two locking doors

Physical enclosure access is controlled by the cabinet’s two door locks.

02

Removable adapter panel

Select the required ST, FC, SC or LC interface arrangement; other types may be requested.

03

Splice-tray options

The datasheet describes splice trays rated for up to 24 fibers each, with quantity specified by configuration.

04

Pigtail selection

Choose pigtails and fiber characteristics during ordering; 1.5 m tight-buffer pigtails are described in the source.

Choose the enclosure

Three cabinet sizes. One clear comparison.

Published cabinet dimensions and stated maximum SC/ST/FC connection counts. The number of fibers can differ from the number of adapter positions depending on the connector arrangement.

Cabinet type Width × height × depth Published capacity Selection context
Type A

Medium
380 × 305 × 85 mm Up to 24 SC / ST / FC Balanced cabinet footprint
Type B

Large
445 × 485 × 100 mm Up to 48 SC / ST / FC Higher stated SC/ST/FC capacity
Type C

Small
300 × 300 × 80 mm Up to 24 SC / ST / FC Smallest footprint of the three

Dimensions and capacities are from the November 2014 datasheet. LC-specific capacity and valid adapter combinations require confirmation.

Technical configuration

Specify the interface, not just the cabinet size.

The RWM ordering matrix defines choices for adapter panels, splice trays, pigtails, polish and optical fiber. Selecting these items before procurement helps establish an unambiguous build requirement.

Adapter configuration

The ordering list includes SC, LC, FC and ST arrangements, with variant-specific connector counts.

Fiber selection

Single-mode and multimode options include G.657.A2, 9/125, OM3 and OM4 entries.

Connector polish

Normal, PC, UPC and APC options appear in the ordering matrix.

Splicing components

Pigtail quantity and splice trays are independently selectable within the documented ordering scheme.
