Armored MTP TRUNK

Pre-terminated, bend-insensitive armored MTP® trunk cables engineered for high-density outdoor fiber infrastructure, including campus backbone, direct-burial and outdoor duct applications.

Campus and outdoor fiber routes introduce mechanical and environmental requirements that standard indoor patching architectures do not address. The Armored STAR MTP® Trunk Cable combines a protected cable construction with factory-terminated MTP® connectivity, allowing high-fiber-count links to be deployed across outdoor ducts and campus backbone routes with fewer field-termination steps.

The product is available in single-mode and multimode versions from 12 to 144 fibers. The datasheet identifies high-density/high-performance environments, campus backbone, direct burial and outdoor plant duct installation as target applications.

Outdoor Armored Plug-and-Play 12-Fiber MTP® to MTP® Optical Trunk Cable Assembly, factory pre-terminated and polished. The assembly uses 1 × 12-fiber Female MTP® connector(s) on each end, Elite Low Loss, with Method A polarity per TIA-568-C.3. Breakout leg length is 70 cm on each side. Fiber is OM3 50µm Bend-Insensitive Multimode Fiber (BIMMF). Connectors are protected by sleeves and the assembly is supplied with a quick-anchoring mechanism. Maximum cable OD: 4.3 mm. The assembly is factory-manufactured and supplied with an end-to-end attenuation test report.

Length coding: **** = length in 0.1 m; example: 0025 = 2.5 m.

Protect Outdoor Backbone Routes

Corrugated steel armor, water-blocking tape, FRP strength elements and an outer jacket create the armored cable structure specified for outdoor infrastructure.

Deploy Pre-Terminated Fiber Faster

Factory-terminated MTP® assemblies with pull-eye and strain-relief grips reduce field connector work and support routing through ducts and backbone pathways.

Scale to 144 Fibers

Support high-density campus and outdoor links with published fiber-count options from 12 to 144 fibers.

Maintain Optical Traceability

Each cable is individually identified by serial number, with IL/RL and ferrule-geometry testing documented for every fiber.
