Armored G.657 Single-Mode FTTx Patch Cord

Armored G.657 Single-Mode FTTx Patch Cord

Protected fiber connectivity for demanding installation routes.

FTTx interconnections may pass through constrained spaces, distribution points and equipment interfaces. The cable construction must address handling and mechanical exposure while remaining practical to route and terminate. Mechanical exposure along the cable path. Installation and service work can introduce pulling forces, compression and repeated handling. Choosing the correct assembly requires more than matching the optical connector. A compact armored cable construction. Spiral metal armor supports crush resistance, aramid yarn provides tensile reinforcement, and the TPU jacket completes the protected, flexible assembly.

Three complementary material elements are identified in the Fibernet product specification. Helical metal armor Spiral reinforcement designed to support crush resistance while allowing cable flexibility. Aramid yarn Tensile reinforcement for cable handling and installation requirements. TPU outer jacket Protective jacket specified for demanding installation environments. Illustration identifies materials named in the datasheet; their physical sequence and geometry are not represented.

The values above use the single-mode column. Return-loss notation and the exact G.657 subtype require confirmation before publishing additional claims.

The following applications are listed in the source datasheet. Final suitability depends on the actual installation and connector requirements. FTTH and FTTD installations Fiber-to-the-home and fiber-to-the-desk cabling where a compact protected patch cord is required. ODF and data-center connections Optical distribution frame patching and related fiber interconnections in communications infrastructure. Optical equipment connections Connections between optical devices in field environments, subject to installation-specific protection requirements.

Fibernet's ordering guide defines connector types, polish options, cable length and boot configurations. Use these parameters to specify the assembly before confirming the final part number. Available selections in the datasheet Four details make specification easier. Product standard references The 2016 datasheet states production and testing according to GR-326-CORE and TIA-568-C.3; it also lists EIA/TIA 604 connector requirements, UL94-V0 connector-material flammability rating and RoHS compliance. Current applicability should be reconfirmed. Fibernet quality management Fibernet operates according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and AS9100D quality management standards.
