MTP trunk cables

STAR MTP® Trunk Cables for High-Density Data Center Fiber Infrastructure

Pre-terminated, bend-insensitive MTP® trunk cables designed to simplify high-density backbone deployment while supporting fiber counts from 12 to 144 fibers.

Increase fiber density, reduce cable-pathway congestion and accelerate backbone deployment with factory-terminated MTP® connectivity.

STAR MTP® Trunk Cables combine MTP® Elite low-loss connectors, high-precision guide pins, documented optical testing and installation-ready pulling hardware for scalable data center and communications infrastructure.

  • 12 to 144 fibers per trunk assembly
  • OS2, OM3, OM4 and OM5 options
  • MTP® Elite low-loss connectivity
  • 100% IL/RL testing for every fiber
  • Pulling eye and strain-relief grips
  • LSZH-FR / HFFR cable jacket

Build a Denser Fiber Backbone Without Adding Installation Complexity

High-capacity data centers need more fiber while rack and pathway space remain limited. STAR MTP® Trunk Cables consolidate multiple fibers into compact pre-terminated assemblies, helping reduce cable bulk and field termination work between distribution points.

The Fibernet datasheet states that the STAR MTP® platform provides six times the connector density of LC Duplex connectivity. Assemblies are available in single-mode and multimode versions with up to 144 fibers, supporting high-density network growth while keeping the physical layer organized and serviceable.

Higher Fiber Density

Consolidate 12 to 144 fibers into a compact trunk assembly for data centers where rack, tray and duct capacity are constrained.

Faster Deployment

Factory-terminated MTP® connectivity eliminates field connector termination and includes pulling hardware for efficient routing and mounting.

Controlled Optical Performance

MTP® Elite low-loss connectors, IL/RL testing and interferometer verification help maintain predictable optical performance across the backbone.

Installation Traceability

Each cable is individually identified with a printed serial number and documented testing for easier infrastructure records and quality control.
