A controlled termination point
Exposed transitions complicate routing and physical protection at access-network endpoints. Cable entry, splice space and mounting must be considered together.
The Fibernet FOTB-8C provides a compact fiber termination and branching point for FTTx access networks, combining cable clamping, splice organization and a fully enclosed IP65-rated housing.
The termination point between an FTTx feeder route and the drop connections needs defined cable entry, splice accommodation and a housing that can be deployed at the site.
Exposed transitions complicate routing and physical protection at access-network endpoints. Cable entry, splice space and mounting must be considered together.
FOTB-8C combines a fully enclosed PC-alloy housing with feeder/drop cable clamps, splice-tray accommodation and an optional SC adapter panel.
The distinction: eight splice positions are not the same as four SC adapter positions. The adapter panel is an optional configuration, not the box’s splice capacity.
Each part of the enclosure addresses a different installation requirement.
Space for up to one splice tray and a maximum of eight fiber splices within the protected enclosure.
A distribution-panel option provides positions for four SC adapters when patching access is required.

A simple way to understand the enclosure’s role in an FTTx terminal link.

A high-strength PC plastic-alloy enclosure supports a practical indoor or outdoor installation, without requiring a full distribution cabinet at every endpoint.
Site suitability remains dependent on installation practice and the project’s cable-entry and sealing requirements.

Three practical site roles derived from the enclosure’s documented FTTx terminal-link purpose.
Use the enclosure at a terminal section of an FTTx access route where fiber needs to be spliced and contained.
Provide a protected connection point in installations that require the documented mounting choices and IP65-rated housing.
Use the same enclosure format where a small indoor fiber branching or termination location is appropriate.
Share the feeder-cable diameter, drop-cable geometry, wall or pole mounting requirement, and whether you need the optional four-SC adapter panel. Confirm accessory inclusion and current availability with Fibernet before release.
Send the required splice count, feeder and drop cable details, mounting location and any need for SC adapters. Fibernet can review the FOTB-8C specification against your installation requirements.
