24F Outdoor Fiber Distribution Box

24F Outdoor Fiber Distribution Box

A protected hand-off between feeder fiber and the final drop. An IP65-rated enclosure for managing optical splicing, patching and passive distribution in FTTx access networks.

The installation challenge

One outdoor enclosure. Several critical fiber paths.

At the feeder-to-drop transition, fibers must be routed, terminated and accessed without turning the enclosure into an unmanaged cable junction. This distribution box provides dedicated entry points and internal space for those functions.

01

Protect the termination point

An IP65-rated housing with UV-resistant plastic, EPDM box sealing and rubber port seals supports deployment in outdoor access environments.

02

Separate cable entry paths

Dedicated mid-span, branch and drop cable ports allow the physical entry arrangement to be matched to the network architecture.

03

Match patching to the network

Choose an SC or LC patching arrangement and the required splice configuration instead of assuming every deployment uses the same internal layout.

Fiber path / conceptual flow

From feeder cable to distribution outputs.

The enclosure brings cable entry, splice management, optional splitting and connection access into one service location. The exact internal build depends on the selected configuration.

Inside the enclosure

Accessibility begins with the internal layout.

The source photographs show the optical adapter area, internal fiber-routing zones and a separate cable-entry interface. The arrangement can be configured to suit the selected optical distribution method.

External mounting is supported on a wall or a pole, with the appropriate kit chosen for the site.

Orderable configuration

Specify the build, not just the enclosure.

The datasheet identifies the following orderable assembly. Its included components must be distinguished from the maximum capacity listed for the enclosure family.

PART NUMBER / FCEL-OP0018

Preconfigured optical distribution assembly

The documented FCEL-OP0018 configuration includes a 1:16 PLC splitter and 16 SC/APC adapters within the outdoor distribution box.

Important configuration distinction

Maximum capacity ≠ supplied quantity.

Up to 24 SC or 48 LC patching is listed as a capacity option for the enclosure. It does not mean 24 SC or 48 LC adapters are included in FCEL-OP0018.

Other splitter arrangements appear in the source document but need confirmation before publication or quotation.

Port planning matters

Check feeder, branch and drop cable outer diameters against the stated port dimensions. The gland and sealing arrangement must be confirmed for the final installation.

Specification note

Capacity is configuration-dependent.

The 12/24 splice values and the SC/LC patching alternatives are preserved as stated by the manufacturer; they are not additive totals. Splitter notation requires technical clarification.

*Maximum or alternative configuration, as applicable. Confirm current availability and exact component fit before ordering.

Where it fits

Outdoor fiber access applications.

FTTH feeder-to-drop points

Terminate optical feeder routes and manage subscriber-facing drop connections within a protected access enclosure.

FTTx distribution branches

Organize cable entry and passive optical distribution where feeder routes branch toward service areas.

Wall- and pole-mounted sites

Select the mechanical installation approach to suit available infrastructure and access conditions.
