THE INSTALLATION CHALLENGE

Outside the building, fiber access still needs to be orderly.

An FTTx cross-connect point must accommodate many optical terminations while remaining serviceable after installation. The enclosure, access layout and cable routing all affect how technicians work in the field.

The challenge

More fiber connections. More work around the cabinet.

Without a defined routing and termination arrangement, changes and routine access can become awkward, especially in outdoor distribution locations.

The Fibernet solution

Structured connections in a field-ready enclosure.

These cabinets combine factory-assembled fiber terminations, an internal swing front panel and built-in cable management in a housing intended for outdoor FTTx use.

CHOOSE THE REQUIRED FIBER COUNT

Three cross-connect configurations.

Select the fiber count and connector format for the project. The documented options are distinguished by their connection interface and cable-stub construction.

CABINET DESIGN

Built around the work done at the cross-connect point.

Outdoor housing

UV-resistant enclosure, two-coat powder finish and minimum IP55 cabinet sealing.

Maintenance access

Swing front panel and door stopper support access to the internal distribution layout.

Managed fiber routing

Internal cable management, optional upper or lower cable entry and connection identification.

Site installation options

Wall, floor or pole mounting arrangements, plus two M10 stainless-steel lifting eyes.

FROM PREPARATION TO FIELD ACCESS

One planned fiber-distribution path.

The cabinet’s optical connections are factory prepared, while the field-facing arrangement provides defined stages for cable entry, routing and access.

01 / CABLE STUB

Pre-terminated fibers

Factory-terminated SC/UPC or LC/UPC connections, by model.

02 / ENTRY

Enclosure interface

PG gland and selected upper or lower cable-entry arrangement.

03 / ORGANIZATION

Internal management

Fibers routed and organized within the cabinet.

04 / ACCESS

Cross-connect panel

Accessible terminations behind the swing front panel.

ENGINEERING REFERENCE

Technical specifications.

Cabinet, stub-cable and connector parameters are separated below because their ratings and test conditions are not identical.

Termination operating temperature -20°C to +80°C (connector table)

Technical figures reproduce the original 2014 manufacturer datasheet. They are not independently requalified for current production.

ACCESS AND HARDWARE

The enclosure details matter during installation.

A stopper supports controlled opening of the door. Lifting eyes and mounting arrangements accommodate the selected installation method. The original datasheet also illustrates pole-mount hardware.

  • Factory-assembled and prepared for field deployment
  • Optional top or bottom cable entry
  • Door-side identification layout and cable management
  • Ingress rating distinguished between enclosure and cable glands

Mounting hardware shown for reference; included accessories must be confirmed for each order.

APPLICATIONS

For distributed optical access networks.

The cabinet is intended for outdoor FTTx fiber cross-connection and distribution, where pre-terminated connectivity and organized field access are required.

FTTx access distribution

Termination and cross-connection points in fiber-to-the-premises infrastructure.

Outdoor field cabinets

Protected, serviceable enclosures for access-network fiber connections.

Network expansion and changes

Accessible terminations and managed cable routing for operational work at the cabinet.
