EMULATOR RS232 to USB (KM HOT KEYS)

KVM control: SEM-1 can control Fibernet secured KVM devices using Fibernet custom protocols

  • Plug-and-play: Immediate and hassle-free operation. No need for additional software installation, easy to integrate with 3rd party controlers or devices.
  • Small format: Fits easily into tight spaces.
  • USB-powered: Power and data transfer are combined into one USB-B cable, reducing clutter and simplifying connections. Power received exclusively from the secured KVM.

SEM-1 enables a Fibernet secure KVM to become part of a larger control-room or AV/control-system architecture. The operator keyboard and mouse connect through SEM-1, while a third-party control system connects over RS-232.

The control device communicates using Fibernet custom protocols, allowing external commands to be delivered to the supported secure KVM without adding a separate software layer to the operator workstation.

Third-Party Controller Interface

A 3-pin terminal block provides the RS-232 control connection for an external controller.

Fibernet Custom Protocol

SEM-1 controls Fibernet secured KVM devices using Fibernet’s custom protocol.

Keyboard & Mouse Pass-Through

Two USB-A ports provide direct keyboard and mouse connectivity at the SEM-1.

Direct KVM Connection

USB-B connects SEM-1 to the supported Fibernet secure KVM and also supplies power.

Control-Room Integration

Add Fibernet secure KVM switching to a wider room-control or command-and-control environment through RS-232.

No Separate Software Installation

The datasheet positions SEM-1 as plug-and-play, with no additional software required.

Compact Form Factor

The small enclosure is designed to fit into space-constrained operator desks and equipment installations.

No Separate Power Supply

SEM-1 receives power exclusively from the secured KVM over the USB-B connection.
