Protect Existing Fiber Investment
Adapt 12-fiber MTP® trunk infrastructure to 8-fiber connectivity instead of redesigning the entire backbone layer.
Modern parallel-optics interfaces commonly use 8 fibers, while many installed data center backbones are built around 12-fiber MTP® trunks. The Fibernet MTP® Conversion Harness bridges these two architectures at the connectivity layer, allowing 8-fiber interfaces to connect through existing 12-fiber trunk infrastructure.
The product is designed for rapid installation and controlled optical performance. Each assembly is individually identified by serial number, each fiber is tested for insertion loss and return loss, and connector ferrule geometry is tested by interferometer.
Adapt 12-fiber MTP® trunk infrastructure to 8-fiber connectivity instead of redesigning the entire backbone layer.
Pre-terminated construction, pulling eyes and strain-relief clips support faster field deployment and cleaner change management.
MTP® Elite connectors, precision MT ferrules and 100% IL/RL testing help maintain a predictable optical link budget.
Each cable is individually serialized with documented testing, supporting quality control and infrastructure records.

| 23 | 1× MTP12 → 2× MTP8 | 12-fiber to dual 8-fiber-interface conversion |
| 24 | 2× MTP12 → 3× MTP8 | 24-fiber Base-12 trunk to three 8-fiber interfaces |
| 46 | 4× MTP12 → 6× MTP8 | 48-fiber Base-12 trunk to six 8-fiber interfaces |
Ordering example: FCH23GFFUU0025010E — 1×MTP12 to 2×MTP8, OM4, Female/Female, UPC/UPC, 25 cm cable length, 10 cm fan-out, Low Loss Cross.
The source ordering diagram explicitly shows OM3 and OM4 ordering codes. The datasheet also references OM5 and OS2 fiber standards; confirm the applicable FCH ordering code with Fibernet when specifying OM5 or OS2.
